The Sennheiser HD228 comes in a very cool dark gloss black with chrome-flashing look that is slick but not OTT so it doesn't attract too much undue attention. The HD228's small supra-aural sealed-back ( that's closed) earcups usuallyl rest gently on the outer part of the earlobes, delivering effective ambient noise attenuation of around minus -8dB ~ -10dB on average. For ease of travel the earcups fold flat futher reducing the product's size. A singled-sided cable exits from the left earcup and runs to a mini-plug 3.5mm (1/8") jack after 4ft of cord. As with all Sennheiser products a 2-year product warranty is standard.
