When out and about, ( now this is actually quite helpful we have found) a convenient cord take-up lets you adjust the headphone cable to the required length. No more looking like a doofus and getting caught on equipment. For example my friend Mr. Bristow who has snagged a record playing arm during a live set. Yes not the type of scratching he was aiming for.

These headphones do deliver great heavy bass and the closed back does block out a huge amount of the ambient noise. Handy as well for the DJ's out there is that the individual ear cups can be removed making for 1) easy of mixing and 2) a nice fashion statement.
